The European Network on Statelessness (ENS) is organising a three day event to engage young socially conscious and active participants who are motivated to help end childhood statelessness.

Currently thousands of children born in Europe are growing up without the protection or sense of belonging which a nationality bestows. ENS is running a region-wide campaign #StatelessKids to raise awareness and promote measures to ensure that children can realise their right to a nationality. The youth congress will be an opportunity to hear about the effects of statelessness and participate in trainings designed to equip them with the necessary skills to become Youth Ambassadors supporting the #StatelessKids campaign in their own country and across Europe.

The event will take place in Brussels from 11 to 13 July 2016 and ENS is in a position to offer a limited number of bursaries for participants. The deadline for applications is 15 May 2016.
