REFUGEE FOCUS GROUP
The Refugee Focus Group brings together members with a refugee background from across the project’s partner countries. Drawing on their lived experiences, skills and knowledge, they contribute directly to the co-creation of tools and resources that reflect the realities and needs of diverse communities. Their insights help to ensure that the project remains inclusive, relevant and grounded in practice.
CROATIA

Semih Adiguzel
I work on migration and integration in Croatia and advise on minority rights. Originally from Türkiye, I study law and joined the EU Immigration and Asylum Law Summer School. In 2022, I received a peace award. I enjoy outdoor adventures, content creation, and sharing my journey on Instagram.
CYPRUS

Parya Kanaani
I work as a translator and volunteer at a Sunday school, where I do my best to educate children and support them through various family struggles and challenges. In addition to teaching, I am currently studying Computer Science. I have a deep passion for connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, languages, and cultures.

Bibiane Muj
I am a refugee from Congo. living in Cyprus since 2021. I am a mother and speak French and English while learning Greek. I completed high school and trained in marketing and journalism. I hope to study Languages and Cultures and work as an interpreter, supporting refugee mothers and the Congolese community in Cyprus.
ESTONIA

Khadija Arian Changize
I am a medical doctor and public health expert with extensive experience in hospital and healthcare management programmes. I held leadership and advisory positions with organisations including USAID, UNFPA, and MSF, focusing on improving healthcare systems for vulnerable people.
GREECE

Franssy Lambanda
Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, I have lived in Greece for the past 25 years. For 23 those years, I have worked for the Greek Refugee Council, offering support, guidance, and advocacy for people seeking protection.

Nasruddin Nizami
I am a coordinator in the Reception and Interpretation Unit at the Greek Council for Refugees. My experience includes roles as a board member, interpreter, cultural mediator, and case worker. I joined the Education Unites and English for Academic Purposes programmes and volunteer with the Refugees Welcome initiative.
HUNGARY

Mary Mozafary
I hold a bachelor’s degree in law and political science and a Certificate in Management and Leadership for Women Officials. Since 2017, I have been volunteering in Hungary as the founder of the Migrant Women Hungary Association (she4she).
MALTA

Murad Madi
I work as Arabic Culture Mediator and Outreach Officer at Aditus. I provide UNHCR with interpretation and cross-cultural communication services. With a degree in English and specialized trainings, I foster mutual understanding, bridge cultural gaps, and promote inclusive dialogue. In my free time, I learn about diverse cultures.
NETHERLANDS

Arwa Abbas
I hold a PhD in Information Technology and combine research with social impact. I volunteer in initiatives promoting inclusion and resilience, drawing on experience with conflict-affected communities in Sudan. My work bridges digital solutions and humanitarian support for vulnerable groups.
