ECRE Annual General Conference and UNHCR NGO Consultations 2015
Date: 14, 15 & 16 October
Location: The Hague, The Netherlands
– Registration is now closed –
Join us this year in The Hague for ECRE’s Annual General Conference. We will be commemorating the 40th anniversary of the founding of the “consultation” that led to ECRE with a celebration at the Mauritshuis museum, home to a world-renowned collection of the best Dutch paintings from the Golden Age. “ECRE vision” workshops will turn our attention to the future, with members guiding and revitalizing ECRE’s policy and advocacy positions given the dynamics of today’s European asylum debate. As always, workshops will also highlight working topics important to the membership. Optional excursions will be offered to visit Dutch application, integration and reception centres, as well as the Peace Palace.
Our AGC will again include UNHCR Europe Bureau NGO Consultations to complement UNHCR’s Global NGO Consultations, creating the space to raise issues, network and exchange views with UNHCR on asylum in Europe.
AGC 2015 Keynote speeches will include Professor Halleh Ghorashi, an Iranian-born anthropologist listed by a Dutch magazine as one of the most powerful women in the Netherlands, and Volker Türk, UNHCR Assistant High Commissioner for Protection.
Join us and over 100 colleagues in The Hague to celebrate ECRE and help shape our voice for the future.
