The 2022 Advanced ELENA Course on ‘International protection in Europe: Legal challenges and emerging opportunities’ will take place on Friday 28 October and Saturday 29 October 2022. The Course will be held at the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel in Riga, Latvia.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in European asylum and migration law and to engage with practitioners, academics and decision-makers from all over Europe.
This year’s course will explore recent jurisprudence and practices of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights, including practices related to the rule of law and access to effective remedies; the role and risks related to artificial intelligence (AI); as well as the activation of the Temporary Protection Directive and other temporary protection statuses.
