Refugee-led organisations (RLOs) are established and run by refugees and asylum seekers, individuals or communities. Throughout Europe, RLOs have formed to address challenges and difficulties that these groups and individuals face in receiving countries. RLOs assist in various ways in their integration path, and act as a bridge between newcomers, communities and mainstream society.
ECRE believes that empowering refugees to act for themselves, and to work in partnership with other stakeholders, is not only key to successful integration, but should also lead to their increased participation in the development and implementation of policies that affect them.
In this section you will find a selection of RLOs’ profiles, including a guide to their respective activities.
